LEARN ABOUT PROBIOTIC

Food sources of probiotics are fruits and vegetables (prebiotics) that help probiotics grow.
Powder or capsules do not affect absorption problems

The temperature of the water should not exceed 40 degrees. Probiotics are live microorganisms that survive and balance strains in the human gut. The temperature in the human intestinal tract is about 37 degrees, so temperatures higher than this will result in a decrease in the survival rate of the probiotics.

Probiotic are active microorganisms that useful to humans. It coexists with humans and lives in the human intestines for long time. It helps to regulate mucosa function and promote immune system by balancing micro ecology in human body. It also promote absorption of nutrients and maintain the health of the intestinal tract.

Not recommended, ask a doctor

1.    In chemotherapy

2.    Just out of surgery

3.    Abnormal immunity

 Probiotics in capsules
Powder or capsules do not affect absorption problems.
Probiotics ≠ Prebiotics

Probiotics are the good bacteria of the human gut and prebiotics are the food of probiotics.

Survival Rate

The graph on the left shows the survival of Bifidobacterium Longum Rosell-175 ingested before or after breakfast in varying gastric acids for 30 minutes (pH>4), and Bifidobacterium Longum Rosell-175 was able to cross the intestinal tract undamaged. Bifidobacterium Longum Rosell-175 is acid-resistant.

 Inhibition of E. coli

The effect of B.longum Rosell-175 on the adhesion of E.coli 0157:H7 to intestinal epithelial cells

E. coli O157:H7 can cause haemorrhagic colitis and haemolytic uremic syndrome or even life-threatening infections, and can be transmitted by pathogens transmitted through contaminated food and water.

The study on the right shows that Bifidobacterium longum Rosell-175 has a preventive effect against E. coli O157:H7 disease. Intestinal studies have demonstrated the inhibitory ability of probiotics by inhibiting pathogens using mechanisms that exclude, compete for, and displace pathogens attached to host tissues.

Regulator of the immune system

The intestinal tract is one of the most important lymphoid organs in the human body. It has a surface area of about 300 square metres and contains 70% of the organism's immune cells. Probiotics interact with the immune cells in the intestinal wall and regulate these cells to achieve a defence effect.

The intestinal immune system has the ability to inhibit the targeting of foreign bacteria or contaminated foods commonly found in the digestive tract. This prevents food hypersensitivity and minimises chronic GI inflammation such as ulcerative colitis.

In the gut, the main means of enhancing immunity is the control of inflammation and antibody production.RANTES are a -family of chemokines produced mainly by activated T-lymphocytes, with immunological properties controlling the directional migration of monocytes and lymphocytes, and play an important role in the regulation of the immune response of the organism. For example, the production of cytotoxic T lymphocytes and pro-inflammatory cytokines (TNF-α and IFN-Y) at levels high and beyond those required for controlled inflammation leads to problems in the immune system. It covers an area of about 300 square metres and contains 70% of the organism's immune cells. Probiotics interact with the immune cells in the intestinal wall and regulate these cells to achieve a defensive effect.

After taking B. longum Rosell-175, the TNF- HT-29 of human intestinal cell line α decreased significantly.

B. longum Rosell-175 with proinflammatory cytokines TNF- α and IFN- γ, the RANTES of human intestinal cells HT-29 decreased significantly.

Survival rate

Simulate acid resistance

In order to simulate the physical and chemical changes of gastric acid in lactic acid bacteria during fasting, the freeze-dried lactic acid bacteria L. acidophilus Rosell-52 hydrated and then added to acidification solution to simulate.

Simulate gastric acid digestion

Every 10 minutes, the stomach eliminates 50% of its fluids.

Measurement of bacterial survival at different acidity levels

Bacterial survival rates were measured at 3 pH levels (4.0, 3.0 and 2.0) after 30 minutes at 37°C.

Result

100% survival after 30 minutes at pH 4, and 90% survival after 30 minutes at pH 3.

High concentrations of E. coli (107 CFU/mL) were used in the study, but the concentration of pathogenic E. coli in the colon does not exceed 102 CFU/mL, so we only need 103 or 104 CFU/mL Lactobacillus acidophilus concentrations to inhibit E. coli adhesion.

Lactobacillus rossell-52 increases IgM antibodies and IgG antibodies

L.acidophilus Rosell-52 cells /ml

The picture on the left shows L. acidophilus Rosell-52 causing B cells to produce IgM and IgG. IgM is the first antibody produced by the body when it is attacked by a virus. B cells, also known as B lymphocytes, are a type of white blood cell. they are part of the humoral form of acquired immunity, and function to secrete antibodies.

Importance of antibodies for immunological testing

After the virus has been infected for a period of time, usually 7-10 days, the body produces antibodies against the virus. IgM antibodies appear first, followed by IgG antibodies, so immunological tests can detect these antibodies to determine whether the body has been infected with the virus.Positive IgM antibodies indicate that the patient is in the early stages of infection, while positive IgG antibodies indicate that the patient has been infected with the virus.

The filter papers were wet with 0.5% tremella polysaccharide solution and water respectively. Then, a few drops of concentrated sulfuric acid were dropped on the test papers.

The filter paper with water immediately turned black (some parts were even holes burned through by acid). The filter paper with Tremella polysaccharide solution remains undamaged.

Promoting Production of  Hyaluronic Acid

Tremella polysaccharides produce D-glucuronic acid after fermentation to promote hyaluronic acid synthesis. Hyaluronic acid is composed of bisaccharides (D-glucuronic acid and N-acetylglucosamine).

 Prebiotics

Tremella polysaccharide is a kind of soluble dietary fiber, which can be absorbed in the stomach and small intestine in small amounts. During metabolism tremella polysaccharides are fermented in the intestine to prebiotics, which are beneficial to the growth of intestinal probiotics.
